Still in Fiji - Turns out that our flight was changed yet again to Saturday.  Fiji Airways said they overbooked our flight by 12 people and we'll have to wait until Saturday to fly to Tonga.  Crrrraaazzzy!  I spent half the day yesterday trying to figure out what was going on and what we have to do to get to Tonga.  We still don't have our luggage, so we've been wearing the same clothes now for 4 days.  The girls have been using our hotel "forks" to comb their hair because our brushes and combs are in our suitcases.  I think the "little mermaid" called it a "dingle-hopper".  The kids are being great sports.  We've had to make due with what we have.  BUT, that's OK, we're in paradise.  On the plus side, we got disposable toothbrushes on our last flight, so we're taken care of as far as oral hygiene goes.  HA!
Since we are here for another two days, we decided to take advantage and explore the islands of Fiji a little bit.  We made some new friends that live in Sacramento, CA, but are natives to Fiji.  Their family and our family went on an excursion to an island called South Sea Island where we swam, snorkeled, and spent the day exploring these Pacific Islands.  The whole day was like it was taken out of a postcard.  It's Fiji's winter right now and it was a tropical paradise.    It was an amazing day with amazing friends.
Hopefully, tomorrow, we can fly to Tonga, get situated and start working.  The people here in Fiji are just amazing!  All smiles and very happy!  I'm really amazed at the feeling the people give.  Yesterday, we saw a guy climb up a coconut tree, cut down some coconuts, sliced one open for us, and we drank straight from it.  It had an incredible taste.  He then cut some of the coconut open, gave some of it to his co-workers, and that was their lunch.  He then started making fruit baskets out of the palm leaves of the tree.  It took him about 30 min., but he made an amazing fruit basket out of weaving the palm tree leaves.  Amazing people!
